Maintenance Drone Co is driven by a desire to improve the sustainability, cost, safety of infrastructure monitoring and maintenance through advancements in technology. Our staff have spent over a quarter-century in the industry learning and collaborating with some of the best minds in the business.
When it comes to inspections of a building envelope, when someone steps onto a roof there is always a potential for damage to the roof, injury to the worker, and/or additional labour costs. MDC offers solutions that minimize these risks.
By utilizing advanced AI-enabled diagnostics plus aerial technology with licensed pilots and industrial drones, we can efficiently scan the roof and capture thermal, visual and LiDAR images. These images enable us to provide detailed reports on various aspects of the building envelope such as Roof & Wall Maintenance, Moisture Mapping, Snow Depth Monitoring and Thermal Load Reduction.
Our drones are equipped with hi-definition cameras, FLIR (forward-looking infra-red) and LiDAR technology for multiple perspectives on the building envelope. When combined with our cutting edge AI-enabled diagnostic capability, our drones can proactively identify issues with your building envelope before they escalate into larger problems and provide immediate answers regarding the integrity of your building asset.
Ernie Cecchetto, President
Ernie Cecchetto has over twenty-five years of experience in Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (ICI) property engineering and construction, working alongside some of the best minds in the business. Ernie has developed a passion for sustainability solutions, better energy performance, workforce safety and preventative maintenance in ICI buildings. He has a track record as a successful SME owner, including as founder of Roof Maintenance Solutions (RMS) in 2006 which delivers annual maintenance and sustainable repairs to prolong the service life of approximately 3,500 sites across Canada.
Ernie established Maintenance Drone Co. in 2021 to focus on innovations in the ICI exterior building performance industry. Maintenance Drone Co. addresses safety, economic life and environmental impact gaps in this industry through the use of drone technology and artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities. In addition to leading this new entity as President, Ernie leads our product innovation and business development.
Ed Vandesande, BSc, MBA, Operations & Finance
Ed brings a blend of operational and strategic perspectives developed through a variety of consulting, corporate and public sector roles across operations, finance, and information technology, in Canada and Europe. As lead of operations and finance for this strategic and disruptive change opportunity, Ed’s focus is on building our capacity to generate and implement innovative design ideas across multiple service streams.
